As ardent a supporter of the 2nd Amendment as am I, what business is it of the courts what a company sets as its sales policies? Think wedding cakes. If Dick’s wants to commit corporate suicide by taking firearms out of Sporting, let them. The Free Market will solve any such issues. Dick’s will never see a penny of my hard-earned money.
And if they want to settle a case, that is their right. We don’t know the terms but we do know from history that companies weigh the cost of litigation against the proposed settlement. No conclusions can be drawn from this.
Speaking of which, the Stormy Daniels / Creepy Porn Lawyer settlement by DJT is a good example of a relatively paltry sum to make an annoyance go away. What was it, 115k or so? Chump change.
