It begins: Conn. Supreme Court rules gunmaker Remington can be sued over Newtown shooting

One legal strategy the #neverguns Left has been pursuing in recent years in their attempt to neuter the Second Amendment and chill gun rights is to sue weapons makers in an attempt to hold them responsible for mass shootings.

Thanks to a decision Thursday by the Connecticut Supreme Court, Leftist anti-gunners are now one step closer to their objective.

As The Associated Press reported, a divided court ruled that a lawsuit against gunmaker Remington can proceed over the way the company marketed the rifle that was used to kill 20 children and six school officials at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.

On those grounds, every car manufacturer should stand by for an unbelievable class action lawsuit.

"The regulation of advertising that threatens the public's health, safety, and morals has long been considered a core exercise of the states' police powers," Justice Richard Palmer wrote for the majority.

Sounds like a perfect time to make an Example out of the court's ruling. Ths Court just gave Everyone in Connecticut the RIGHT to SUE All facets of the Entertainment Industry for the Poison they Produce that leads to Damaged or Destroyed lives as a result of their PRODUCT!!!

I saw one video of the policeman taking what appeared to be an unused gun OUT OF THE LOCKED TRUNK.

Not going to look for the video but I did see it. Still not believing that an autistic boy who was reported to have trouble tying his own shoes was responsible for this shooting.

This dies in a federal court and the plaintiffs get to pay the defendants legal fees as a conciliation prize.

"over the way the company marketed the rifle"

Remington doesn't promote premeditated killing of innocents the way Planned Parenthood does.

Mark Levin wrote about it in 2006, “Men In Black”.

If a guy intentionally runs you down in a Chevy, can you sue General Motors?

At least, that would be a part of my defense strategy if I were their attorney.

Unless the gun(s) malfunctioned, causing death, there should be no case here.

And you wonder why people are moving out of CT. Just add this to the pile along with their taxes, regulations and crooked politicians.

“This dies in a federal court....”

Thank you. The problem is that the 4 state weenies aren’t disbarred for being word whoring anarchists.

There is federal law that does not allow this unless it was a defective product

Breweries, wineries, and distilleries could be held liable for drunk driving crashes by this “logic.”

Bars and restaurants, too.

And marijuana shops in Colorado and other states where the sale of pot is legal could be sued.

well, since human hands are used often for committing murder, by the logic of these black-robed tyrants, God can be sued because He was the creator of such hands.

..idiots..

The black robed tyrants complain about the way Remington marketed these weapons to kids.

Outrageous. The Sandy Hook shooter killed his mother and stole her weapon, so this claim of “marketing to kids” is bogus from the get go.

Why not banks who give a loan to someone who uses it to go buy a gun and commit a crime? Better yet the chamber of commerce and city because they approved the permit for the bank who loaned the money to open it’s doors for business?

This precedent could eventually snowball into something very stupid.

These leftists are attacking from all fronts. They’re even shaking down the banks that might have even made loans to gun manufacturers. This truly is domestic terrorism. They need to be defeated at the ballot box.
