If it was a false flag, he would be dead. They couldn’t take a chance on him talking.
I wouldn't rule out that he will mysteriously hang himself in his cell. Or that it will be reported that he did, and a guy who looks just like him, except with a new haircut and a mustache, will show up in some podunk town months from now with all new IDs.
