“Something will happen” — the big question is whether it takes a Venezuela-level collapse to cause something to happen in the US, or whether the frog will wake up in time to the rising water temperature. Our youth are enamored with the “justice” offered by socialism. That does not bode well for the future of the US.

I despise pessimisms but...

In a state of poor education, general complacency and intellectual laziness, the mass public will need quite a kick in the ass for change. I vote a massive devolution in living standards. Evidence: Venezuela. Are they so different from us? Me thinks not.

Meanwhile, I'll continue to emphasize common, easy methods of self-sufficiency to my children who may witness a Venezuela style collapse here.
