In the wake of the mass shooting in New Zealand, the Muslim community came together Friday in a sign of strength and resilience.
168th Street from Highland Avenue to Gothic Drive in Jamaica Hills was co-named JMC Way for the Jamaica Muslim Center.
Members gathered in front of the mosque for the unveiling ceremony.
Councilman Rory Lancman said the renaming is a sign that the Muslim community is a part of the New York City family.

muslims (SPIT!) aren’t a part of any “community family”. They belong back in hell, where they came from.
I always heard how tough and sharp New Yorkers were... must be down in the basement alongside German martial prowess.
Why not make everyone in NYC convert to Islam

There are scores of church massacres around the world by you-know-whos that NYC politicians don’t feel the need to commemorate.
How long would it take to name every street in NYC after some Muslims.

That’s the FIRST thing that needs to be done if CWII breaks out.
We’ll need to keep at least one of the NJ bridges open so upstate NYers can work their way down to us and bring supplies.

I worked in Midtown at Rock Ctr for many years, but went home to north of Princeton area every night.
Living in south-central PA for the past 30yrs has done wonders for my attitude.
It’s great the first 1,000 times :)
I’m guessing I’ve been over it 12,000 times or more.

I worked in Rock Plaza for a lot of years!!
It WAS Great being young and in the city but then coming home to the quiet of Staten Island.
I am not young anymore and dont care what happens in the city any longer.
PA is up as soon as MIL bites it.
I like her though so I’m torn.
But it’s not up to me, it’s up to God.
So until then it is what it is :)
Once over it here——it was YEARS ago but never went back over it because we got lost——waaaay too much drinking went on at a wedding——ended up in some tunnel———(I was not the driver).
