They already use “restorative justice” in NYC public schools. It’s a cop-out for really apply necessary disciplinary measures for transgressions. The result is complete chaos in the schools, as the kids know they can do anything without consequences. Also, DumblASSio imposed the Odungo-like ruling that you had to jump through 60 hoops, scale the Empire State building and win a pie baking contest before you could discipline or punish a black or Hispanic kid for misbehaving, even if it was something bad that they did. Consequently, you have herds of black students walking through the halls when they are supposed to be in class, vandalizing bulletin boards and anything else they can touch, pulling all kinds of nonsense in bathrooms, stairwells, etc.—all without any real consequences.
