No, they are cheap. They could even be solar powered, LOL. But why could they not be defeated simply by running a shorting wire to ground?
The border situation is a sticky one. IMO very little short of brutal is going to work.
Usually the only way to stop an invasion.
though Israel doesn’t really get brutal and they’re handling it well.
With a YUGE wall and security everywhere.
MUCH less ground to cover though.
