I counted the jokes one night during Jay Leno’s monologue when I think Bush was running against John Kerry. The breakdown was four or 5 to 1 making fun of the Republican over the democrat candidate. In addition, very seldom if ever do you see a late night talk show host make fun of a Democrat for lack of intelligence as they do with the Republicans. Bill Clinton was a perfect example. They made fun of his lecherous nature, wink wink nudge nudge, you know what I mean?

Conan O’Brien did a bit on how the candidates were preparing for an upcoming debate. He said Gore was practicing imitating a tree. Bush was snorting cocaine. Lieberman was home with his wife. Cheney was murdering a homeless man for his heart. Harmless fluff for the Dems. Vicious slander for the Repubs.
