The Chicago police union's president alleges that the county's top prosecutor interfered with the investigation of "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett before recusing herself and wants the Justice Department to determine if she broke any laws.
WLS-TV in Chicago reports that Fraternal Order of Police President Kevin Graham wrote the Justice Department following reports that Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx asked Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to let the FBI investigate Smollett's allegations that he was attacked by two masked men after the former chief of staff to former first lady Michelle Obama informed Foxx that Smollett's family had concerns about the probe.
The police kept the investigation and Foxx recused herself. Her office charged Smollett with lying to police.
Foxx's office didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
I found this AP report in an obscure Canadian newspaper.... Of all places.
Hmm, let’s see... The Chicago Police Chief pretty much laid it all out on the line very clearly and now the Police Union (likely backed by Democrats) suddenly want to hand it over the FBI that has been repeatedly politically biased against President Trump.
No political maneuvering here.. SARC!!!!
They don’t wan to hand over the Smollet case.
They want the crooked top prosecutor looked into and if Kamala Harris was involved with this it is way beyond the scope of the local police to handle thins.
And the we know one of the prosecutors has already been compromised.
The FBI needs to investigate this prosecutor and make her life difficult.
Yay! Chicago is incredibly corrupt and it looks like a lot of Illinois politics is too.
They want the DOJ to investigate a Dem? Good luck with that.
That’s harsh...it’s been almost 7 years since their latest governor to go to prison.
This is a good source for info about the police view of events in Chicago. He refers to Kim Foxx as “Crimesha”.
The minute he dropped that letter into the mail, it became a federal case.
That’s the Obama DOJ.............(Crooked)
Investigate. I bet it leads to Michael Obama.

Man, your link is ... out of date?
Here’s the one I use:
It’s interesting how things started to unravel and spiral out of control from the very beginning. It reminds me of a scene from the movie “Body Heat” between William Hurt’s character Ned and Mickey Rourke’s character Teddy.
Teddy Lewis: I got a serious question for you: What the f#@* are you doing? This is not sh!t for you to be messin’ with. Are you ready to hear something? I want you to see if this sounds familiar: any time you try a decent crime, you got fifty ways you’re gonna f@#* up. If you think of twenty-five of them, then you’re a genius... and you ain’t no genius. You remember who told me that?
Smollet might even enjoy a Federal Probe.
Reread the article. It is short.

This is Interesting
Remember Mrs. Obama’s former Chief of Staff who called Crimesha Foxxx to interfere in the Smollett investigation?
The Southern Poverty Law Center has tapped Michelle Obamas former chief of staff to lead a top-to-bottom examination of its workplace culture, less than a week after the anti-hate nonprofit fired co-founder Morris Dees for misconduct and its staff complained of discrimination against women and people of color.
Tina Tchen, who began leading Buckley LLP law firmss Chicago office after serving in the White House, will lead a review that reports to the Southern Poverty Law Centers board of directors, the nonprofit announced Monday...
Well you got that totally wrong. You need to work on your reading comprehension skills
They want the DOJ to investigate a Dem? Good luck with that.
The investigation would take three minutes and it would be Trumps fault.
