Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has reached an agreement with Attorney General William Barr to stay on at the Justice Department a little while longer, a source familiar with their conversation told Fox News despite initial plans to step down by now. Fox News and other outlets previously reported that Rosenstein had planned to step down in mid-March. However, sources close to the deputy attorney general say Rosenstein has not yet given his two weeks notice.

It seems as if Rosenstein and Trump have something on each other.
Why would Barr and Trump allow this?
Trump is endlessly plagued by bad appointment choices and Barr has now declared that he is part of the deep state, too (no surprise).
I wonder if it is related to the Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit and/or the imminent release of the Mueller Report (I assume this month), given the date of filing & when Rosenstein was due to retire (in last week or two):

He’s clearly doing it with the expectation that it would somehow hurt the President.
The only possible good reason Ive heard is that Barr wants him around so he can force him to testify under oath. I hope thats the real reason. Otherwise I see nothing good here.
Maybe it’s just me, but this doesn’t feel like winning.

I can’t believe that seditious leech is STILL in his position. These people have no integrity whatsoever, and I have to question why President Trump tolerates a “justice” department that’s clearly, obviously out to undermine his own administration.
“It seems as if Rosenstein and Trump have something on each other.”
I look at it another way. Rosenstein staying on is meant to help Barr navigate his way through this enter collusion fustercluck. When the indictments start, Rosenstein will get preferential treatment as well as minimize the damage to himself by providing evidence against the others.
Anyone who presented warrants to the FISA court based on the phony dossier are guilty of a crime. Whoever speaks up first gets the “get out of jail free” card. Looks like Rosenstein was the first to do it.
Now that Barr has seen the SC report - and we know he has - Rosey needs to justify his/their actions in writing as to the FISA warrant that passed through, skirting protocol.
Why should Barr have to justify anything when the culprits are still on the payroll. Let's face it, after all this time and scrutiny why would such a 'written' request be made unless the process smelled poorly.
So why wouldn’t a smart man like Trump recognize or know Barr was bad news?
So why do some believe Mueller is about to release the report, thats right, the Fake News tells us so.
