The government answer (any form of “government:” school board, POA, city, county, State, Federal, ANY) to ever situation is MORE MONEY!

Our education system is in a shambles. We are falling further and further behind other developed nations on standardized tests and just general knowledge. However, the United States continues to spend MORE than every other developed country, per pupil! And what does the local school boards say they need? MORE MONEY! What does the Texas Congress say the schools need? MORE MONEY!

If a program is working, then government wants to give them MORE MONEY to spread that “good work” around, whether money is or is not the reason for the success of the working program!

If a program is failing, then government wants to give them MORE MONEY, because obviously the ONLY thing that could cause great grand-schemes developed by government, MUST be the lack of proper funding!

Someone MUST stand up and NO!!!! Money is not the solution to 90%+ of the problems in the government! Not having people who actually give a damn is the problem and no amount of money for them to spend, waste or earn is going to change most of those people’s mindsets, because if they had ambition, they wouldn’t be working in a highly controlled, overly-structured bureaucratic POS job that you can only advance in if you are willing to get less work-oriented and instead become more POLITICALLY-oriented!!

Our schools are failing because parents treat grade schools as DAYCARE centers and most don’t give a damn if their kids get educated, so long as they don’t have to pay someone to watch them while they go to work! If you have ever worked the school district call center when schools are shutdown because of weather, maintenance or ANY situation, you would not believe the dirty, nasty calls from parents wanting to know what they are supposed to do with their kids for the day...I don’t know, maybe spend some damn time with them! JEEZ!

WE MUST STAND AND SAY NO MORE! Our Founding Fathers fought for their independence from people as tyrannical as our current government, it was taxes, religion and guns. All of which the United States government is only a few votes away from attempting to take from Americans, just like England!

The plan?

Well, judging by long standing policy in the 20th century it historically was to use steady inflation, not too fast so those buying bonds won’t catch on and not too slow so debt will remain cheap so that it would never have to be paid down.

Then in the waning days of the Carter Administration the Democrats changed to a form of base line budgeting that assumed across the board increases and framed reductions in the rate of increase as spending cuts and they went from being merely vile to being mad buggers.

Even returning to zero BLB with the Contract With America only brought us a few years of reprieve.

Nowadays I think the plan is to live off the churn and be on the last plane out before the shooting starts.

The last time we had a surplus,

There was NO SURPLUS, at least not since the 1836 when Jackson Abolished the 2nd Central Bank. Everyone claims there was a "Surplus" but NOBODY wants to try to explain how the DEBT GREW if we had a "Surplus".

Makes too much sense.

Plus, buying votes is expensive.
