Large crowds are anticipated in Springfield, Illinois, on Wednesday as activists gather to protest two abortion measures that pro-life champions say are both “anti-women” and “anti-children.”
Bills called the Repeal of Parental Notification (HB 2467) and the Reproductive Health Act (HB 2495) have drawn busloads of Illinois residents to the capitol building.
HB 2467 would strip away all parental rights to consent for a minor to obtain an abortion, and remove the requirement of medical certification by the facility for a minor’s abortion.
HB 2495 would allow unregulated abortion up until the moment of birth for any reason, and “provides that a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent rights under the law, of this State.”

You still have to pay for them, though, whit whatever trickles out of your paycheck after crushing Illinois taxes, which are.likely to get even worse in the near future.
Unless, of course, you don’t actually GET a paycheck; in that case, you are pretty much on Easy Street.

Why would they remove the requirement of medical certification by a facility performing an abortion?
Wake up people, they are only pushing for these up to the moment of birth abortions because a fully developed baby’s parts are worth $22,000* while the glob of a two or three month fetus is worth MUCH, MUCH less.
*a fellow FReeper noted that fact was seen on YouTube - it’s only logical that fully developed babies are much more valuable even if that amt was exaggerated.
I attend a church that has a lot of young families with small children. It breaks my heart thinking that we living are in the presence of great evil that would harm them.
Illinois’ formerly Republican Trumphaters voted for Democrat rule. This is only the beginning of what it looks like.

So?....A 12 year old girl is completely capable of managing a poisonous drug with life threatening adverse reactions....BUT....her parents are too stupid to use a school voucher wisely?....Huh?

I guess the back ally abortions with a coat hanger are now acceptable. It seems not long ago that sort of thing was a concern. They sure seem determined to kill babies.
