I live in Clarksville, I bought on of those things at Wal mart, but it was nothing but a waste of money. So I returned it.

All of the old tv antennas will still work fine on the new digital tv sets; as the transmit frequency did not change.

What DID change was how the video and audio got modulated on the carrier wave. The video was amplitude modulated and the audio was FM (Frequency modulated)

That’s why we had to buy a converter box (digital tuner) for about $50 a few years ago if we wanted to use our old; perfectly good tvs as a monitor.

DIGITAL ANTENNA!!! is just a marketing phrase.

I'm only 25-30 miles from the stations in Indy;

with only a 7degree difference between them.

 

Even before digital tv, using a 100 mile monster antenna,

 it was real iffy in the summer with leaves on the trees.

I'm on buried, fiber optic cable now.
