I arrived in Alaska in 1976 and lived in Anchorage for 5 years until I moved to Wasilla when it was still a 1 stoplight town and going to Teeland’s General Store was a major event.

I remember drunk natives passed out all over 4th Ave 24/7/365.

Is that what you’re referring to or has it reached Seattle proportions now? I would think it is too cold to be homeless there during the winter. Of course if there are leftards in charge of the city they probably can’t wait to give away money to the sainted homeless. Have they decriminalized hard drug possession yet?

Don’t know if you still live in AK. The “homeless” have set up camps all over the city greenways and parks. It looks pretty much like Seattle. You would think the cold would make that untenable but apparently not. The city council and leftist mayor want to make more warm shelters for them and feed them. “Drunk Natives”! That comment would get you thrown in jail down there. You can never say what everyone already knows. Decriminalize drugs? Alaska legalized pot and has the most lenient crime laws in the nation. First time car theft is a slap on the wrist. BTW Wasilla used to be the conservative bastion of the state. That is changing too.
