A federal judge respecting the Second Amendment. President Trump should consider promoting this guy.

Now if this were democrats, they make this out to be a nationwide ruling.
Lets try that.

I carry a stun gun all the time when I go hiking. Why? Because of people who let their dogs run ahead of them on the trail. The dog thinks his job is to clear that trail and you stand a very good chance of a dog attack. A stun gun works great because the electrical crackle backs the dog off. I’ve NEVER actually had to stun a dog, I’ve had 100% success in backing them off by just hearing it. I’ve actually had more problems with owners thinking I’m attempting to do something terrible to their pet and they give me the ole, “He’s a nice dog, he wasn’t doing anything.” BS, I know when a dog is greeting you nicely and when he’s viewing you as a chew toy.

Not saying you are doing anything wrong, please understand that. Animals are affected by electrical shock different than humans. Keep yourself safe. Hitting a dog or a horse or a cow may affect them a lot worse than a human. My horses seem to feel the electric fence before they confront it. Whether its the noise or the static electrical pulse I dont know. Remember hitting an animal like a human is different. Give the dog a treat and tase the owner 😬

The sound does make dogs back off. I carry a walking stick and a stun gun when I walk. Just in case.

My sister walks her dogs everyday on a leash, other people have their dogs there on a leash. Thats how it should be. The electrical shock (tase) shouldnt be necessary but be damned if I want a dog biting me. People need to be responsible for their pets behavior. I carry a 9mm but I dont want to use it.

Test it out - just the sound of the taser - with a dog in the room and watch his reaction.

Perhaps it generates a high frequency sound that only dogs can hear.

Finally a judge that understands that “arms” means more than guns. In the time of the founding fathers “arms” were basically anything a citizen required to effectively defend themselves or their country if so required. In the founders day that would have been guns, but it also would have included swords, bayonets, knives, even cannons (if you could afford one). Today that would include all of the above, plus things like body armor, night vision equipment, perhaps even grenades.

...Because they have already confronted it. Having been attacked by a dog I think I'll pass on your "give him a treat and taze the owner" advice, but I respect your affinity for dogs... I love 'em too.

Hes a nice dog, he wasnt doing anything.
Exactly the statement I was greeted with by an owner whose dog attacked me. They blamed me for kicking the dog's @$$, while they could see the bite marks on my wrist.

Anti-2A types get really confused and agitated when I explain to them that Letters of Marque and Reprisal, which are in the Constitution, imply that private citizens might actually own cannons and ships well-armed enough to be considered warships.

I botched a cut-n-paste, meant to quote your “and cannons” line.
