This would guarantee either the collapse of the country, or tyranny. For what reason would a family in rural Oklahoma have to remain connected to a country ruled by mobs in New York City and Los Angeles?

Absolutely. And that’s the whole problem, not only would it disenfranchise 49% of the voters, but it would eventually through law force a culture and lifestyle on another culture. It will become “one size fits all” based on a completely failed city culture.

And that failed culture is why we don’t live in the city.

No doubt some of them want the collapse of the country and tyranny.

Their mistake is not understanding that people who do not agree will not simply go along with it.

Few people outside of Los Angeles or New York City will want them making all the decisions.

Those that want this seem clueless what they will bring about if they get this done.

Nope and nope. The fact of the matter is most of the time the popular vote winner and the EC winner are the same. Yeah, we’ve had a couple of exceptions recently, but those are outliers. Meanwhile most rural OK families probably already feel like the country is ruled by mobs in NYC and LA, and they vote anyway.
