Yes, like our friend the Reverend who may not have heard of the EU parliamentary elections at all and who may not even know that the parliament and clinical are analogous to the US congress and senate.
Ah well, but nation states should be independent. And the United Kingdom is a union of nation states
But that must be manipulated. After all freedom, unelected rulers and Ireland is part of the UK, no?
And I agree. My main objection to the EU is that it does not acknowledge Christianity as the defining force of Europe. Everything stems from that.
Meanwhile in London yesterday one of the biggest public demonstrations in British history (some estimates putting the number at over 1 million) to protest against Brexit and demand a new vote.
And by all means they should get a new in/out referendum....in 40 years which is how long the British People had to wait to get another referendum after their 1976 referendum to join the European Economic Community in the first place. Meanwhile, elections (or in this case democratic votes) have consequences and at the end of the day, Brexit won.
There must be a no deal. This would ensure the reunification of Ireland and the independence of Scotland
dream on.
Freedom for Scotland!!
And the majority in Northern Ireland voted to stay in the EU. Seeing their subsidies reduced further and trade with the republic disappearing there will finally be a reunited Ireland.
Yes. In 40 years
And they're controlled by Germany. It's WW3, and this time Germany is winning in England and France. It's so much simpler to buy off a country's leaders than to have bloody conflicts.
We shouldn't be smug about it. It's what's going on in the US, too.
That’s more than the photos show. I’ll go with the BBCs “Hundreds of thousands” and not the organisers “million”
cool. Just wait another 30-40 years and then it would be reasonable for the Scots to be allowed another referendum.
Not really. The promise made at the previous referendum of Scotland staying in the EU if they stayed in the union was one of the reasons they didn’t vote for independence.
That has changed
So Scotland will get another chance to throw off the English yoke
