During the run-up to the referendum, it astounded me that so many Leave voters had no idea at all how the EU worked. There are a lot of reasons for criticising the EU, but this isn't one of them.
Yes, like our friend the Reverend who may not have heard of the EU parliamentary elections at all and who may not even know that the parliament and clinical are analogous to the US congress and senate.
Ah well, but nation states should be independent. And the United Kingdom is a union of nation states
And I agree. My main objection to the EU is that it does not acknowledge Christianity as the defining force of Europe. Everything stems from that.
