Pat, here is some background on the carrier fire. As much as I detest McCain, I find it hard to blame him for the catastrophe. It was investigated extensively and the results did not find McCain complicit.

Whatever the case with the Forrestal, McCain caused enough pain and grief even if he is totally innocent in this case.

I listed all the other things McCain did for my nephew. He’s a state trooper for God’s sake. And he HATES President Trump. But even when he debates me, and he’s not a half bad writer, he always ends with thanking me for my column and how he so enjoys my writing.

He desperately does not want me to kick him off my reader list. Which I won’t.

Even taking away the Forrestal, McCain still burns in hell, right now, even as you and I type.

Okay, I sat and dutifully read the story of the USS Forrestal on your link.

I kind of understood it.

Bad bombs were brought on board and some kind of electrical thing caused one to fire and hit nearby planes, all filled with bombs.

I did some searching of the Internet about this incident and, cousin Mike, what a coincidence that the guy who was at the bottom five in his class, the guy who sold out his POW’s....what a coincidence that HE was the pilot of one of the airplanes taking off that carrier.

There’s a lot of stories about this incident, 134 dead.

For now, cousin Mike, we must agree to disagree.

I just don’t much believe in coincidences. McCain wrecked, it said, three planes, one got him captured by the Vietnamese.

Not saying the detail at your link is correct.

But I will never, not EVER believe that McCain didn’t mess up somehow and cause more pain.

Just like JFK, Flight 800, OKC bombing, Benghazi, James Comey/Hillary, THE KEATING FIVE!!! etc etc etc.

No-name's father was an admiral (who could pull some big strings) I'm sure he didn't want his stellar reputation sullied by the actions of his son, the reckless "maverick".
