Unfortunately you are correct.
There will be some erosion. It is inevitable. Too many prominent Jewish voices out there condemning her speech and the really absurd handling of it by the Dems. I know some people wanted them to call her out by name, but they could have compromised by just condemning the words she spoke. Instead they just caved entirely.
If Omar is not primaried in 2020 some support will fade. And the more left the Dems go the more it will fade. Jewish affinity for Dems goes back to the New Deal era and social justice. And Jewish tradition includes the acceptance of vigorous open debate (the old joke, find me 2 Jews and I’ll get you 4 opinions). When they see strife and division and suppression of ideas in the name of social justice, a number of them will sit out.
