Don't really know much about the guy. Stupid? Appears he's from an old Brooklyn family, not a rich one. Degree from Wesleyan. Masters from the London School of Economics. I'll pass on stupid. Came home, enlisted. As a child of the 60s, people, former friends, thought enlisting was stupid. Today, on FR I hope not. Did his time in Kandahar, wounded, now he serves as a company commander in the Fighting 69th, along with serving in Congress. None of that relates to your commentary, but to the thread.
But, you said he cant really speak out against his leadership. I'd suggest he just did that. To his constituents, as he should, but the message is there. Disagreeable to the media, so no one will hear about it. Rest assured, leadership knows about it.
It won't, but imagine if his action spread. What would it take for the media to cover it. Ten Congressmen or Congresswomen to condemn antisemitism tolerance in their party. Five or fifty. I don't know. Nor do I know his policy positions, I suspect I'd disagree with many. But I'm OK with his action, wish a few more dems would do the same thing. But they cobble so many interest groups to create "America" in their minds, can't support one without offending another.
Perhaps, but that's a bit loony. I am no longer surprised by Democrats they have shown they have no principles, only lust for power. So they think protesting anti-Semitism is "offensive" to Muslism? They are twisted in the worst of ways.
