Their only driving force is to have power over the rest of us - to force us to comply with their perverse ideas. To this end they are incapable of feeling shame, remorse, or even the vaguest bit of sympathy for those of us who don't want to be ruled with an iron fist. They cannot be reasoned with nor can they be bargained with. They can only be destroyed or they will destroy us. They are aware that this is a struggle that will either end in death or enslavement, and for that end one of their holy grails is total civilian disarmament.
