It was and is good.
It is good for Egypt that Egyptians overthrew Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood (who killed Sadat).
It is my understanding that Egyptian President (once General) Sisi is from very near where Sadat was from in Egypt.

Forty years ago Egypt and Israel signed the first ever peace treaty between the Jewish state and an Arab nation, upturning Middle East diplomatic and military relations.
I think Pharoah signed the first one didn't he? Relented too as I recall.

And then Sadat was assassinated. Horrible. I wasn't following world events then, but I had the impression he was a man with a heart and intelligence.
