CNN and MSNBC ratings plummet, Fox News triumphs in wake of ‘no collusion’

The long-awaited news on Sunday that the Mueller Report had exonerated President Trump of collusion with Russia instantly shed major new light on the complicity of the mainstream media in perpetrating the mass delusion of collusion. The news also had an immediate and potentially game-changing impact on the cable news television ratings.

Starting on Sunday and continuing all day Monday, CNN and MSNBC – the two cable “news” channels that over the past two years have morphed into high-impact electronic facilitators of the anti-Trump resistance – saw their ratings plummet… precipitously. Meanwhile, the Fox News Channel (FNC), the only mainstream media outlet to even question the whole collusion meme from the outset, trounced the competition. On Monday, Fox News had more than twice as many viewers – in both total numbers and in the preferred 25-54 year old demographic – than MSNBC and CNN combined. According to Nielsen Media Research, FNC surpassed CNN and MSNBC combined in every hour on Monday from 5 PM to 12 midnight while CNN had its 2nd lowest weekday prime time ratings of 2019 and its 3rd lowest demo of the year.

Obviously energized and invigorated by the positive official news absolving President Trump of collusion, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham, FNC’s three prime time hosts, did some of their best shows ever on Monday.

...

Sean Hannity’s exceptional Monday show was not interrupted by a commercial break until 45 minutes into the one-hour program. This unusual format allowed the host almost a full half hour for his opening monologue, “Mainstream media has lied to you for years” (transcript, video), which began:

There’s a bad lesson to draw from this: attacks on PDJT bring ratings. Wait for the new manufactured issue to win back viewers.

Jussie is short term ratings. I had truthfully forgotten about him and didn’t even know what the headlines were talking about until i refreshed my mind.

Trump keeps the ratings going.

How can you plummet when you’re already at the bottom of the barrel.

“Sean Hannity’s exceptional Monday show was not interrupted by a commercial break until 45 minutes into the one-hour program.”

I saw that on Monday, and I re-played it again last night just in case I had missed anything. He was wound up and on a roll. He can be annoying, but when he grabs on to an issue he’s a dog with a bone. I believe he’ll follow througn on “getting” the people who perpetrated this attempted coup.

Cancel your MSM subscriptions. Every dish and cable package with CNN, MSNBC, and the rest, are being directly paid BY YOU. You are feeding the beast.

Get a good antenna for free HD channels. Use streaming to get the specific channels you do want (and not get CNN/MSNBC/etc. and PAY LESS (Look into services like Philo.com for Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire sticks and get 44 channels for $16/month)). Watch movies free from your local library.

We have to change what we do because what we have been doing has really hurt this country.

What you say is 100% correct. Take no solace in FoxNews as they are part and parcel of the same MSM with their constant drumbeat of noise and negativity. When I cut cable, my stress and went down and my overall health improved considerably.

Read some books. Discover or rediscover good music. Go out for a walk. Stream a good movie or a documentary. Cook a nice dinner. But turn off that awful noise of cable television.

Male Bovine Scat. The American left wing and center have been being made fools of by MSM for over 14 years. Unless, you are considering 14 years "once", then no these people are just down right ignorant of the facts.

I wish that was true. I think the left is currently despondent but they will find a new line of attack. With the electorate split so closely, any converts will be welcome, of course. But it’s a long way to election time.

My mother and an aunt are constantly stressed and have FOX News on all the time. I used to keep the television on, too, and since canceling cable years ago, my health stats improved and I’m saving money, even while supporting Free Republic and financially helping conservative political candidates. When you stop paying so much for subscriptions, it adds up. An Uber driver recently told me she and her boyfriend spend $240/month to get the ten channels they really want. I told her she could stream the ones she said they watched for over $150/month less (she needed Sports streaming services (https://www.groundedreason.com/watch-sports-without-cable/), along with others from Hulu and/or Philo). She was an 0BAMA SUPPORTER and she as going to change their services because they were saving for a down payment on their new home. She was going to get an antenna for the rest. If 0bama supporters are cutting their bills by over $150 a month and still getting everything they want, why can’t we do the same? She didn’t need CNN or MSNBC, either, and was willing to starve them, too. Of course, I didn’t press her about those. 🙂
