It’s not treason...unless they conspired with a foreign government...it’s sedition. Equally criminal and equally punishable.
“unless they conspired with a foreign government”............
The Constitution defines treason in the US:
Article 3 - The Judicial Branch
Section 3 - Treason
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
Its not treason...unless they conspired with a foreign government...

Actually there probably was foreign involvement — with our so-called “allies”. That is likely one of the things that has complicated the release of the FISA docs according to many stories out there.
“Its not treason...unless they conspired with a foreign government...”
Are you not familiar with the origins of the Russia Dossier?
Bought and paid for with millions from Hillary Clinton and the DNC, MI6’s Christoper Steele who hasn’t been to Russia in almost a decade used sources there to put it together.
In addition, intelligence was collected and political operations were coordinated in the UK, Italy, Australia, Ukraine and most recently we’re learning Germany.
A conspiracy using global actors from governments of other countries certainly constitutes treason. Some of the treasonous actors in the US may not have direct links to the international political operations and they may be solely guilty of sedition.
Sedition is punishable up to 20 years. Treason holds stronger penalties. :)
