CHICAGO – Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Thursday emphatically urged President Trump to butt out of the ongoing drama over embattled "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett as he blamed him for creating a "toxic environment" where someone would allegedly fabricate such an attack.
“My recommendation is the president go to Opening Day baseball, sit on the sidelines and stay out of this," Emanuel told a group of reporters.
The mayor called Chicago a "Trump-free zone" and blamed the president for creating a "toxic" and "hate-filled" environment that allowed Smollett to think he could get away with faking a hate crime.
“Let me be clear about something. The only reason Jussie Smollett thought he could take advantage of a hoax about a hate crime is because of the environment, the toxic environment that Donald Trump created,” Emanuel said.
“This is a president who drew a moral equivalency between people who are trying to perpetuate bigotry and those who are trying to fight bigotry.
As somebody who has started his own journey in politics fighting the neo-Nazis in Skokie and then down to Marquette Park, President Trump should literally take his politics, move it aside.
The mayor continued: “He's created a toxic environment and now he's created a toxic, vicious cycle in my view. The only reason Jussie Smollett thought he could get away with this hoax about a hate crime is because of the environment President Trump created

He knew what he was doing. He knew that by blaming the president, he would gain maximum support. And hey, if anyone challenged him they could be dismissed as racists. For a couple of days, it worked. He had given the Trump haters a field day. Never forget: This started as a slime Trump exercise.
Fast forward to the present: Jussie Smollett got away with it! Charges dismissed. The record sealed.
Why did he get away with it? Because the anti-Trump elites rode to his rescue. They couldn't let their man go down.
This is being reported in the media as a legal battle. In public, it’s all legalisms. But it’s really a cover-up. Smollett got caught in a vicious Trump-hating hoax and the Trump-hating elites got him off and sealed the records so we won't find out just how far these people are prepared to go to insult our president.

I knew it. He was pulling his punches towards Smallett. He thereby gets into the news and takes some attention off Muller. Then he pulls the switcheroo and focuses on Thrump derangement. The mayor still has his foot into operative national politics. How many people were murdered there last week?
It sounds to me like he is Hiding something and doesn’t want further scrutiny. I would bet $10 Emanuel was orchestrating this dismissal behind the scenes.

These fake “hate-crime” hoaxes have been going on for decades. They are the result of the “blame whitey for everything” environment in the media and on campus, which is supported by the democrat party. Hardly Trump’s fault given the long, twisted history of these hoaxes.
That toxic environment was created by Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx, who seems to serve only the criminals. She just lets them all go free ... this wasn’t the first time.
