I could absolutely believe that; the enemedia takes a few high-profile killings by whites in the post-war South and gives the illusion that they were commonplace.
I watched one of these shows about traveling to different places, and of course they politicized it - it was a place either in the South or Midwest where blacks could visit during the day but were expected to be out when the day was over. To illustrate the point, the “guide” (propagandist) pointed to a drawing on a rock near the entrance to the town - it was of a small black donkey (could’ve been drawn with a Sharpie), and he said it was from a time when such signs indicated blacks had better get their “black asses out of town” by sundown. Incredible how it weathered decades of the elements like that /s...
They said to distract from some other crime. Embezzling?
