We have read enough and are educated enough to know that our kids and we get our necessary vaccinations. Only a fool would skip them.
If an unvaccinated kid causes the death of someone else, and the parent knowingly skipped the vaccine, yes, absolutely they should be charged with murder, convicted, and get the consequences. Murder is murder.
Amen, even as an adult I am being pressured to take vaccines for the flu, Shingles, etc, but I refuse. I do not trust vaccines that the government mandates. We should have choice to take it or not. That goes for children also.
I’m well educated, highly paid professional, and I know enough to know I can’t trust companies in it for the profit. I also know nothing of God comes from abortions or the gains thereof.
I won’t tell you what to do with your kids, and I don’t need anyone telling me what to do with mine.
On my first tour (Bosnia), they were making everyone take a flu shot, and I didn’t want it. I thought it was silly. I was a healthy 22 year old. I had to sign a five page waiver, and the base surgeon wanted to keep me off the deployment list. My battalion was under strength, so the CO overrode and I went. When we got there, my entire section (8 men) were sick, and I was the only healthy one. It sucked that I had to do all the work while the other lads were bedridden.
I learned something important then, but I was still too young to fully understand what.
The "preservatives" component of vaccines are necessary but one must consider preservatives that are not safe. One that is not safe is Thimerosal (an ethylmercury-containing preservative). It is no longer contained in any childhood vaccine, with the exception of vaccines: against diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus (DTaP), against Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), and against hepatitis B. These exceptions can be administered with Thimerosal-free vaccines. People receiving any vaccine should be able to request and receive Thimerosal-free vaccines. If your doctor says it's too expensive or too inconvenient, find another doctor. Mercury in any form is not good for humans.

Exactly! I have not heard an outcry about the illegals who are bringing in mumps, measles, and all sorts of things. Open borders people tell us Central America has a higher rate of vaccination than the US. Yet Border Patrol tell me when they ask these people pouring in about their vaccinations nearly all of them say they have not been vaccinated ever or did not get recommended schedule.
Thousands of illegals are now quarantined by CBP with mumps, but we are to believe that has nothing to do with our outbreaks?

I disagree. In the 1910’s, about 10,000 people a year died from measles. You could probably guestimate about 3 times that had some sort of after effect. After the MMR vaccine was developed, mortality dropped to about 450 a year. Mortality now is rare in the US. Doesn’t say much for ‘healthy people’ now does it?
Speaking of healthy people, the older one gets, the rougher getting measles is: pancreas and kidney damage, meningitis, encephalitis, arthritis, birth defects in pregnant women, deafness, all permanent disabilities and mortalities.
Upthread a FReeper commented that autistics can’t get vaccines because of a mutation. Autistics are one of several groups that may not be eligible for vaccines because of pre-existing medical conditions. Should they also be quarantined so ‘healthy’ children and adults can spread disease like it’s 1910 again?
(and while you’ll find no argument that illegals are bringing in previously eradicated diseases, the current measles outbreak in NY is centered in well-established orthodox communities, the Washington State outbreak is in the Russian community and is the D8-Eastern European variety, the Detroit cases are linked to an Israeli international traveler, where airports were the transmission vector)
