Milton Friedman could be President of Venezuela and it would still be a corrupt, third-world hell hole.

Corruption is endemic to South America.

As much as the Spanish language it bathes everything down there.

Venezuela was doing much, much better before socialism took over.

True....but corruption is also endemic to socialist governments. The Soviet Union, China, formerly communist East European countries, Cuba, and on and on and on.
