Yet More Gems from AOC
Rush Limbaugh.com ^ | April 1, 2019 | Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, we gotta get rid of the light-hearted stuff, and some may say that it’s all lighthearted, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She just continues to literally embarrass herself. But I don’t know if it’s impossible for her to be embarrassed by herself. So she may not know that she is embarrassing herself.

Listen to this quote. She was doubling down on the fact that earth is imperiled because of the cow, well, farts. Expelation of gas, methane. She’s really trying to get people to understand the severity and seriousness of this problem, and she said. Dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut. Quote: “We need to innovate.” By the way, this is a verbatim quote. “We need to innovate and change our, our grain, uh, our, our cow grain from which you know they feed in these troughs. We need to look at regenerative agriculture. These are our solutions.”

Do you realize what this woman says for education? Do you realize the banner she is? She’s got a degree in economics from I think Boston University – (interruption) when did cows start eating out of troughs? You got me. Nevertheless, the grain that we’re putting in those troughs, we need to regenerative it. (interruption) I don’t know. But we need to innovate. We need to innovate. We need to solve this. These are our solutions here. We need to innovate and change our grain, our cow grain from which you know they feed in these troughs.

Now, wait a second. I wonder if she knows that cows have two stomachs, and I wonder if she knows that they chew their own cud, and I wonder if she knows that they eat grass. But look. This is just the first half. We have another gem here from Ocasio-Cortez.

“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez incorrectly asserted that Republicans amended the Constitution to stop former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt from being re-elected. ‘They had to amend the Constitution of the United States to make sure Roosevelt did not get re-elected.’”

She said this Friday night in a town hall on PMSNBC. She was there to tout the positive effects of the new deal as she was trying to relate them to her Green New Deal. She “was referring to the 22nd Amendment, which a Republican-controlled Congress passed in March 1947.”

Does anybody know what Roosevelt died? He died April 12th, 1945. He died two years before the 22nd — it could not have been because of Roosevelt. They didn’t pass the 22nd Amendment to deny the gracious and lovely FDR another term. It was ratified in 1951! (laughing) That was the year I was born. It was ratified in 1951.

And here’s what the 22nd Amendment says. “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as president, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected president shall be elected to the office of the president more than once.

Now, Roosevelt was elected president four times, ’32, ’36, ’40, and ’44. Cortez says that the 22nd Amendment was Republicans and a bunch of sour grapes and they came along and they passed the 22nd Amendment to make sure Roosevelt wouldn’t get reelected even though he’s dead two years before they submitted the amendment. Ha!

Can you imagine if Trump or George W. Bush had said something like this, it would be front page, especially if Trump had said it in the current climate, it would be in the impeachment folder. And there would be stories about how his brain is deteriorating and Trump may be losing it here. But with Cortez, “Well, you know, she’s working real hard. She’s trying real hard. She’s under a lot of stress.”

She’s a ditz, folks. She’s an absolute ditz. And Pelosi and the Democrat leadership know it, but they can’t do much about it.

It is beyond belief, that girly from the Bronx, or Westchester, or wherever got elected. But, I for one am all for her going on the cable shows, spouting what it is to be Democrat theses days. She is a gift that will keep on giving.

Well, since so many dead democrats are still voting, I don’t see why they couldn’t run for prez.

We’re going to need a bigger cow house.

hopefully someone is keeping track of all the idiotic things she’s saying and will post them online for people to refer to like they did with obama who said he had just visited 58 states and thought he had about 4 more to go

Well, there goes Rush’s accuracy record. Cattle DO eat grain and they eat it out of troughs and they have four stomachs, not two. He’s been out of Missouri a bit too long. Otherwise, good stuff about AOC.

"We need to look at regenerative agriculture"

That's the buzzword takeaway from that particular stream-of-semi-consciousness thinking.

We hear it and say "Yep. BS.". Her followers hear it, imprint what they want on it, and think she's a genius. "Regenerative Agriculture. Boy is she smart. What a brilliant mind! That's exactly what we need, if only all those farmers in hickville could understand her genius. Now, let's go discuss it in depth over a sustainable, organic, free-range, non-cruelty latte!".

I saw this myself, in action, at a former academic job. They brought in a "genius" to speak with us about "Sustainability". Guy spent 10's of thousands on a junket Fact-Finding mission to Africa, and "discovered" that crop rotation improves yield.

Yep, the college paid him to discover something that's been known since Ancient Egyptian times. But since he was "smart", and used buzzwords in a way that people who desperately wanted to believe him, could imprint whatever meaning they want.... he was incredibly successful.

no person who has held the office of President, or acted as president, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected president shall be elected to the office of the president more than once.

..................................................

Confessing my ignorance:

I didn’t know that part of it. I always thought Truman chose not to run in 1952.

I post this from time to time. It is a link to the AOC articles posted here at FR.
There's a lot of info about Cortez on those threads.
She doesn't have the FReepers fooled one bit. This will come back to haunt her too.

“Regenerative agriculture” because that use once and throw away land is running out.

The amendment didn’t apply to Truman. Ex post facto.

Maybe she’ll win the Triple Crown of stupidity, but with Beto and Liawatha in the race, even Uncle Joe, it can’t be taken for granted.

Actually Rush needs to bone up a bit on how cattle are raised. They DO graze some on grass but they require more concentrated high energy food for growth and finishing and often that comes in the form of “corn silage” which is often fed to them in “troughs”

A drunk bartender talking to drunks at the bar. Throw in a fifty-cent word or two to sound intellectual and impressive while pouring the next shot, in hopes of getting a bigger tip. Doesn’t play so well in the real world.

that’s what makes beef have high Omega-6 - cows were NOT meant to eat grain.

Just because they do it in the midwest to fatten up tough cattle does not mean I eat that crap.

I am the last of 5 generations of beef ranchers (I worked on the ranch until I went away to college).

The whole feed ‘em grain is meant to increase profits, NOT QUALITY. Give me a young grass fed heifer any day versus an old cow at the end of her life put into a pen and feed grain for “marbling”.

I eat steaks that are 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick and cut them with the edge of my fork. You can’t do that in the fancy steak houses with their dry aged grain finished crap.
