The woman complaining about her country’s culture being insulted is really quite out of touch with her knowledge of it.
Culture is defined as the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group. I would say that the customs of a nation are their culture by this definition.
Other countries didn’t create it, and the people using it there haven’t tried to change it for a thousand years, then don’t complain when someone recognizes it as an obvious part of your culture and make a statement about your failures. If you don’t like it, change it. But don’t complain about people that see it and make those observations. This type of brainwashed attitude is what keeps them unassertive. (And lost)

Iranian women started removing their headscarves in defiance of the laws. The religious police would beat them, arrest them, even spray tear gas in their faces. Still, headscarves were being removed.
So the Ayatollahs decided that harsher measures were needed and relaxed laws preventing vigilantes from enforcing moral codes as they deemed fit.
The vigilantes; young men on motorbikes, faces covered, started throwing acid.

Defiance in Iran carries a heavy price tag.

When Western women like Jacinda Ardern wear the hijab out of "solidarity" to the rules of the Ayatollahs, I am flat-out disgusted.
