Some of them live that way precisely because their health is important to them. The issue is not simplistically either/or; your bigotry is implicit in your condescending wording.

Are you a nutritionist? I am. Have you studied and practiced a variety of dietary practices firsthand? I have. Have you garnered awards in the physical sciences, including the biological sciences? I have.

I am not endorsing any specific approach here, nor defending anyone coercing others to adopt a particular lifestyle; I am endorsing not making such condescendingly and categorically biased statements.

(Do not compound your error by making unfounded assumptions about me and my diet.)

Funny. No my condescending attitude was directed solely at those that would try to impose their nutritional values on others.

My views are based on this. Whenever we deviate from what nature designed us as, there are unforeseen consequences. And unforeseen consequences are usually if not always bad. Humans have been hunter-gatherers for at least 200,000 years. That means they eat meat, vegetables, fruit, grain, and ice cream. Any lack or addition to that is a deviation. Oh, and Pizza. Any deviation from the norm is usually unhealthy. Just ask Madame Curie. She died of the very thing she studied, just because it was outside the norm of human experience.

I’m sorry you have to put up with ridicule; I’m not a nutritionist and usually am not particularly interested in it, but I think it makes freerepublic look bad when jerks are allowed to roam around at will harassing posters.
