Investigation Into 'Dossier' Snares Another Obama Alum

Judicial Watch demands Victoria Nuland's communications on issue

Government watchdog Judicial Watch has filed dozens of FOIA requests and lawsuits over the “Steele dossier,” the dubious anti-Trump document funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Despite its “unverified” claims, as FBI Director James Comey described them, the Obama administration used it as evidence to obtain a warrant to spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.

Judicial Watch has demanded interviews with Hillary Clinton’s aides and access to communications involving most of the top level appointees who dealt with the issue.

Now, it’s Victoria Nuland’s turn.

The former assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs under Obama is believed to have been the one who turned the dossier over to the FBI.

Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the State Department for records of her communications with top Justice, FBI and State Department officials.

The lawsuit came after the State Department didn’t respond to a FOIA request.

If only our government was as interested in “right” as Judicial Watch is.

How does the State Dept get away with just not answering FOIA requests?

I know, I know....goes back to that two tiered system. :-(

Nuland testified before Congress that she had never signed multiple FISA unmasking requests bearing her signature as the requesting entity. Indeed, she claimed she had not signed the majority of requests that bore her signature. And nobody ever asked a single follow up question about it. I'll confess, that knocked me out of my chair, all those congressional interviewers just let that go by.

“Nuland testified before Congress that she had never signed multiple FISA unmasking requests bearing her signature as the requesting entity“

It should be easy enough to disprove that. If anyone had the inclination to, anyway.

"The lawsuit came after the State Department didn’t respond to a FOIA request."

Who do these people think they are. The Democrats OWN our government and damn well do what they want.

I couldn’t tell you. Apparently Susan Rice who was UN ambassador at the time also issued and was granted multiple unmasking requests.

I should distinguish between unmasking requests and FISA warrants. A FISA warrant is 10-20 times as serious; but still, why the UN ambassador can request an unmasking is problematical. For some.

Nuland was high profile at State (spokeswomen?) when BUSH II was President. After a year or two in the Odunga Admin. she moved to another position which we now know. So much for the career, no political biad State Department employees.

Tick Toc, Tick Toc, been a couple years now and not one swamp ass has gone to jail. So far only associates of The Donald have been charged.
This is some kind of BS so far.
Everyone with half a brain knows the russia deal was a scheme to take out The Donald.
Folks involved should be lined up and shot for subversion.
McCabe, Ohr’s, Comey and so many others.

They can’t go after the participants of the crimes of the Kenyanesian Usurpation for fear of the whole thing unraveling and their own complicity being exposed.

BOTH parties cooperated to violate the Constitution.

If they prosecuted all the guilty, the District of Corruption would be empty and we would have no government.

Agreed!
Even if Trump is playing the “long game”. there should have been indictments of a bunch of low level operatives by now.
It’s hard to know, what they’re thinking, or planning, if anything.

I watched the first segment of Sunday Morning Futures with Marie Bartiromo. Congressman Nunes was her first guest. He said they withheld sending criminal referrals to the DOJ until now, because there wasn't an AG at DOJ until Barr took over.

LOL..
