The truth is, almost no one. Book advances are one of the most common ways to launder money to corrupt politicians. Chances are, Sanders didn’t even write the damned things and some “benefactor” guaranteed the publisher a certain number of sales and the appropriate amount was advanced to Sanders. How else do you think books like his land on the best seller list immediately upon release.
