Y’all are going to be like us here in the Philippines. As an example, last night we had a brownout from 2 am to about 7 am. The at 10:30 am brownout again for 30 minutes. This week we had brownouts almost nightly and several times during the day. Granted, these are diesel generator power stations, but wind and solar are even less reliable. Have fun folks and buy a generator.
I suggest you install a double throw switch so that when you have electric supply issues you can isolate your house from the grid and use the generator without having to run extension cords all over the house.
Double throws isolates the electric co. line at your fuse box so that your generator is not feeding the grid but allows you to use all your lights and outlets as if the grid was on. When power comes back you just turn off your generator and switch back to the grid.
That sounds like good advice and definitely worth knowing about. Thanks.
