I’m wondering if I even belong here on FR any more.

My #1 political goal is freedom (as it is described in the constitution). I am not here for religion or sexuality. I am fine with fighting opponents in the realm of politics but I’m just not comfortable with the homosexual hating here. The crude jokes are so old. I’m getting disgusted.

There is a huge difference between people who seek freedom to live their own way, who do not wish it for others, and people who wish we ALL could live our desired way (within the framework of not deliberately harming the other). ‘Freedom for me but not for thee’ just doesn’t work for me.

You guys are my friends but I’m more comfortable slamming phony gay politicians like Hillary and Obama, for their very phoniness. This Buttigieg is open, and I don’t see it terribly funny or horrible that he chooses to live his way. I see no reason to slam him for not being heterosexual.

You've been on this board for close to 20 years, like I have.

You know what the real agenda of homosexuals are. You've seen how homosexual marriage was forced down the nation's throats. The drag queens reading to children at libraries. The pride parades with children watching. Nobody here has NEVER called for violence against them.

So what if we make fun of them?

You make some good points. But don’t despair. It’s the American way to mock your political opponents. And sometimes that mockery can go a bit over the line. It’s just the American way to mock, and to push the envelop.

So take FR in its totality. Lots of quality stuff. Plus a little childish crudeness here and there.

I honestly believe homosexuality is a mental illness.
All of us are ‘broken monkeys’, but I do not insist on a parade to celebrate my defects.
And I do not try to shame those who notice my defects.

This man is part of an aggressive movement to limit freedom of thought and speech. He does not want to serve openly, he wants to control everything that comes out of your mouth and your actions. He also wants to reengineer the social fabric of humanity....the union of man and woman. He is alreeady assaultiing the traditional beliefs of the church and offering a phony, unbiblical plan of salvation. He is a tool of everything evil...keep thinking the way you do. You are so open minded

It isn't his freedom I and many others oppose. If you haven't noticed, the political bullying of homosexuals that has caused businesses to close and people to be fired just because their opinion of homosexuals deviates from the homosexual lobby. His sexual orientation is the lynchpin of his campaign I do not doubt for a second that, if in the White House, we would see heterosexual freedoms erode, including those allegedly protected by the first and fourth amendments of the Constitution. Furthermore, his intention to drag the name of my Christian God through the mud with his blasphemy is personally abhorrent and offensive. I have a brother who is homosexual, who lives his life in Florida with his partner but he does not spend his life openly flaunting his lifestyle for personal or professional gain. I have known other gays I get along well with and maintain a friendship with. But these are not trying to ban Christian businesses or seek to punish those with anti-LGBT opinions. Until Mayor Pete gets out of the race, you'll need a tough stomach instead of thin skin.

Thank you. I agree. True Christianity, if we choose to practice it, does not involve spewing hatred or making fun of people.o

How about disliking him for saying Trump and Pence are not Christian enough, from the man who ignores G-d’s word saying homosexuality is abomination?

Derision can be a very effective PR tool to discredit an undesirable political movement. I don't like the crudeness in many posts, but the truth about what homosexual want to do and what they want US to celebrate is a fact, crudeness notwithstanding.

There is nothing unchristian about calling people out on their gross public sins which THEY make public. Mayor Butt attacked Pence unprovoked and tried to appropriate God's blessing on what God has undeniably condemned. He has made himself fair game for derision.

” I see no reason to slam him for not being heterosexual.”

Obviously, you are of the “born this way” belief.

I am NOT! It is a CHOICE! (and it’s all about the deviant, exciting SEX)

It’s also POLITICAL! These “people” have an agenda. EVERYTHING they (most homosexuals) believe in, I am vehemently opposed to.

They do promote their deviant, socially destructive “lifestyle”. They “prey” on vulnerable, impressionable people for their own perverted sexual pleasures.

I think they should all go back into their closets. “Don’t ask, don’t tell” was a very good idea. Things were a lot better, when homosexuality wasn’t constantly being shoved in my face.

AND I haven’t even touched on how God thinks that homosexuality is an ABOMINATION!

In the Greek, abomination translates to abomination.
In the Hebrew, abomination translates to abomination.

Abomination:
atrocity, disgrace, horror, obscenity, outrage, curse, torment, evil, crime, monstrosity, violation, bugbear, anathema, bane; bête noire, a feeling of hatred, detestation, loathing, hatred, aversion, antipathy, revulsion, repugnance, abhorrence, odium, execration, disgust, horror, hostility, disdain, contempt, distaste

Hat tip to you. An opinion eloquently written in a gentlemanly manner.

But, I disagree:
