WASHINGTON. It should be obvious by now that President Trump is not your typical Republican. That’s because he relishes a good fight. A character trait that takes a sturdy backbone. A structural component sorely lacking in today’s GOP lawmakers.
Justice Department sources informed Fox News that Attorney General William Barr has assembled a “team” to investigate the origins of the Trump/Russia collusion hoax. A move that could presage the appointment of a special counsel.
An honest Attorney General Barr has acquitted himself honorably in the wake of the nearly two-year recusal by his predecessor, Jeff Sessions. A man who sheepishly announced he would have no comment regarding the findings contained in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation.
A traitorous accusation of treason Democrats and their media comrades refuse to accept Mueller’s conclusions that no evidence exists to support the absurd charge that President Trump is a traitorous spy working on behalf of Moscow. Or that he attempted to obstruct the Justice Department’s long witch hunt into the Russia matter.
The mainstream media simply pretend, like congressional Democrats, that the Russia hoax still has legs. Therefore, the best strategy for the Trump administration is to investigate and expose Russia hoaxers before the 2020 presidential election.

I’ve been calling it treason since the day we learned a foreign spy, Christopher Steele, was involved in the plot.
Treason is the only crime defined in the Constitution, it’s giving aid and comfort to an enemy in time of war. Who is the enemy, where is the war? Sedition is the proper term here so I’m calling it the Seditious Spy scandal or the Deep State Mutiny.

A bit of a stretch , I don't think Congress is going to declare war against Great Britain anytime soon, but I've heard that was done twice a long time ago.
Yes, you are legally speaking correct. Most of us know we are using the term treason in the popular sense of the word. (I hope) Betrayal of country. I think Trump is too and it wouldn’t concern me unless the DoJ were incorrectly using the term in an indictment. At that point I want it letter perfect myself.
I’m sure you’re also right about a bunch of news services being legally liable for their actions under sedition and/or subversion statutes. If any of them do time for it you couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face.
