FWIW, South Bend is NOT A MAJOR CITY! They have Notre Dame U, and a museum to Studebaker ( which built cars there until it went out of business in the 1970)s. Being mayor there is in no way qualifying experience to be President. Plus we’ve never had a “first lady” who had a penis!

If you want contrasts between Trump and Buttplugs, it’s easy:
Trump led in ALL GOP polls since early in the campaign in 2015 (given the relative difference in when all these people have announced, Buttplugs should be ahead-—but he’s trailing in double digits).
Trump only trailed ONE TIME in all the GOP primary polling, and that was a two-week period where Carson inched barely ahead. Trump never trailed again in any GOP poll after that.
Remove the strange propensity of Democrats to trot out candidates solely on the basis of their checking off some box on their little diversity checklist, and what do you have? What has he done, what does he stand for, what does he propose? There will be more voters turned off by the gay thing than there will be who support him because of it. They never seem to figure that out, though.
Mayor Pete is a nine year Spook. He is a Spy for the US military. And before that he worked for former SOD William Cohen. In fact being am intelligence officer is the longest job Mayor Pete has had. So, don’t expect the media to say bad things about him. Our CIA is going to promote him and so is our media. Harris, Biden, and Beto are going to wonder where all the media went as they will be completely forgotten. In America we have the Republican Party the Democrat Party and the Intelligence Party. In this case the Intelligence Party is going to advocate strongly for Mayor Pete. And CNN does whatever the Intelligence part says.

He is not going to be the nominee. There is no way the power people in the D Party are going to let a Mayor of South Bend, Indiana get the nomination. Indianapolis m a y b e, but not some 2nd tier city in Indiana. They will turn on him in a big way, if he starts getting any traction. He has not paid his dues in a national setting.
