I have been hopeful this was just an accident....

However, given the muslims attacking and defacing churches at will across France these days, I would not be surprised to find this was an act by the disciples of satan.

Again, I am hopeful this is not the case, but I would not be shocked int he least if it was.

There’s really not that much to burn at ground level, other than the pews and some other things.. the building is stone and concrete. Real danger is the roof, which will burn.. Fortunately this building is so old the roof isn’t providing major structural integrity to the walls, so they should be able to stand without it and have the roof rebuild.

Of course I am not a structural engineer, so I will yield to other more knowledgable folks on here, if my assumptions are incorrect.

A closer look suggests that they were actually two spires on the back side of the church.

The French Media, are they like our media?

It's worth asking the question...

If Independence Hall in Philadelphia suddenly caught fire and melted the Liberty Bell, would our media cover up reports of arson and terrorism, or would that devastating a national tragedy be too much even for our media to mess with?

The Cathedral of Notre Dame is so intertwined with French national culture, Parisian identity, and Judeo-Christian humanity and western civilization, would the French press dare to deceive their own people over it?

What reports are those? What we heard yesterday weren’t reports, they were complete speculation. It couldn’t be otherwise, the fire was still raging, there was no way to collect evidence. Fake news. I don’t care if it comes from the Democrats and the media about Trump collusion, or someone who wants to claim of muslim arson. Both reports have no evidence to support the assertion. I don’t want the media to do it, period. I’m against fake news, perhaps you aren’t.
