Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 'hired a top Hollywood talent agency to try and get a book deal' but the project was mysteriously pulled
AOC reportedly hired the Creative Artists Agency to try and get a book contract
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old was said to have met with representatives
But sources claim that the potential book deal was pulled for unknown reasons
It's unclear if the project will be picked up at a later date, but sitting House members are prohibited from accepting book advances
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly hired a top Hollywood talent agency to try and get a book deal, but the project fell through.
The progressive darling and representative for New York, known as AOC, reportedly hired and met with officials from the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) earlier this year.
But according to The Daily Beast, the potential book contract was pulled for unknown reasons.
CAA did not confirm or deny working with the 29-year-old, and Corbin Trent, the communications director for Ocasio-Cortez, said: 'I can't help you with it.'
It's unclear if the project will be picked up at a later date.
Sitting House members are prohibited from accepting book advances.
Just four months into her new life in Congress, Ocasio-Cortez is already a coveted influencer of Democratic national politics.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez called her 'the future of our party'.

She wants to be a good socialist like Bernie Sanders. To paraphrase him, since he wrote a book, if you write a best selling book, you can be a millionaire too.
I think that Ocasio-Cortez wants to live in luxury as she preaches socialism to the rest of us.

She’s adapting and fitting into the swamp very nicely. Already trying to leverage her position to make side money.
You’d do it too, if you were in her position. It’s probably the most capitalistic thing she’s done since she last rang the register at the coffee joint where she used to work. I can’t blame her one bit. She has an enormous following of emptyheaded folks idolizing and following her. She’d be a fool to leave their money on the table.
Of course it will be written. She'll probably have a steady stream of books. It is one of many paths Democrat pols take to riches. They don't do anything productive with their lives; just hire ghost writers to turn out tripe and balderdash, then lots of ordinary people "buy" them (wink, wink).
She should have hired Lannie Davis instead. If anyone knows how to launder money its him.
You don’t hire Creative Artists, they hire you.
Book deals are how politicians engage in graft. They all do it, both sides. Instead of taking bribes, you just suggest someone in need of a favor buys, oh, 20,000-30,000 copies of your latest book. It's such a scam.
