I was wondering about that.

Would leaving a trail of lighter fuel back to your gasoline soaked area be safer than leaving a trail of gas? I can’t imagine it burns at that much of a slower speed to make any difference. A lot easier though to pour out a trail of lighter fluid than using what remains in the gas can.

Given enough time I could probably figure out 100 ways to light it more safely.

he had two big cans of gas. One small can of lighter fluid. The small can of lighter fluid would be easier to handle/ control flow held away from body, when pouring (squirting) out a fuse trail. As opposed to a bulky gas can with a large flow opening. (just guessing)
