It is bad – very bad – because it creates the template for other policies we citizens have enacted to be effectively overridden by our garbage ruling class.

This is not new. Our politicians have been overruling the will of the people for decades. The worst part is when they take an issue that the people are concerned about and do the exact opposite of what the people want. For example, we are concerned about education, so the politicians gave us "Common Core" in the guise of "education reform." It seems that politicians believe their job is to thwart the will of the people, not advance it.

Illegal immigration is a problem that our politicians don’t want to fix. They even passed laws that encouraged illegals to come here. Illegal immigration and all the problems surrounding it will not go away until we get a new, patriotic crop of leaders running the government. And, quite frankly, I don’t see that happening any time soon.
