I know that the day Mueller was appointed must have been a very dark day for Trump and I think he had other dark days that we do not even know about yet.
As you say, he gave up his easy life to serve as president. Puts me in mind of George Washington giving up his easy life at Mount Vernon (after all he'd been through up to that time) to serve as our first president.
Both Trump and Washington had already achieved so much in life and both were finally in position to enjoy their wealth in their final years - but duty called and they both answered the bell.
Once the Trump presidency is over (hopefully not until six years from now), there are going to be some incredible books written about the Trump years.

I think the best book will be “The Collected Tweets Of Donald Trump”. There are so many classic posts, I bet we’ve all forgotten most of them :-).
