I had never been aware of the California illegal interlopers. Wow. An anti-citizen campaign conducted by the GOP that seems to have been under the radar. Would like to hear Bennett justify that.

Yeah, unless you were here and active in the border patriot war you wouldn’t have known how bad it was. Some tried to get Limbaugh to discuss it but he blew them off. Rush was a good little Bush GOPe toadie at the time, enjoying being invited to the White House.

The only justification that Bennett has is that he is a dick possessing low character.

Bennett was the beneficiary of a neocon goon squad that savaged the gentlemanly paleocon scholar M.E. Bradford in the early Reagan years.

Dr. Bradford had been nominated to head the NEH, the Nat’l Endowment for the Humanities. He was supported in this by Russell Kirk, Jesse Helms, James East, Strom Thurmond, Wm Buckley, and many other prominent conservatives.

The neocon cabal, being ever hungry for power and position, wanted the job for Bennett. So they went full throttle in a campaign to slander and vilify Bradford. It was a campaign of personal destruction like what we have seen waged against Trump’s nominees.

Anyway Bennett and the neocon slander artists got their way. But they couldn’t fool everyone forever, and that’s why they are now prominent in the NeverTrump movement.
