Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will introduce legislation to raise the federal minimum age to buy tobacco to 21 from 18, he announced Thursday.
McConnell will introduce the legislation, called the McConnell bill, in May, he said. It will cover all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes. McConnells backing marks the strongest support yet in Congress for whats been dubbed T21.
For some time, Ive been hearing from the parents who are seeing an unprecedented spike in vaping among their teenage children, McConnell said in a statement. In addition, we all know people who started smoking at a young age and who struggled to quit as adults. Unfortunately its reaching epidemic levels around the country.

I thank God we have all our big problems solved, otherwise we wouldn’t have time for this small nonsense.

Then the voting age and minimum military age should be changed to 21 as well.

Smoke a joint
Get an abortion
Get transgender surgery
Fight for the right to vote

"legislation to raise the federal minimum age to buy tobacco to 21 from 18" Well, since vapes are nicotine and not tobacco I guess the 18 year olds can still buy it. Hehehe.

Why would a lesser responsibility like smoking come after greater responsibilities like driving and military service.
This is seeking power for the sake of power alone.

I was the baby of the family, born in 1947. I’m a female. My Dad, born in 1904, was a railroad worker, and a Democrat. When I turned 21, he walked me to the polling booth, and told me who to vote for, so I ended up voting for Hubert Humphrey. Didn’t know my ass from a hole in the ground when it came to politics back then. My Dad died in 1978, and at the next Presidential election, I voted for Ronald Reagan, and have voted straight Republican ever since.
