You told me to.
Those were the dying words of a North Carolina man who was shot by police as he followed orders to drop the gun he had in his pocket, body camera footage shows.
Footage of the March 25 death of Danquirs Napoleon Franklin, 27, was released Friday by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The video was released on the order of Mecklenburg County Superior Judge Donnie Hoover, who was responding to a petition by local media.

He wasn’t dropping the weapon, he was going for the weapon.
Do as they say or...well, they will still kill you.
“What we have here, is a failure to communicate.”
1. Was not holding gun
2. Told him to drop it
3. Put hand in pocket, now holding gun
4. Took gun out
5. Officer saw gun
6. Officer shot him
Seems like...you shouldn’t comply..?
This guy complied and died for it.
Chicks are fast to kill people —they KNOW their physical limitations.
FEMINISM and PC killed this guy.

Time will tell just what happened here. But what you said there is too often too true. Here’s a different case (the shootee had no gun, gets shot anyway).
Guy gets stopped for a seat belt violation.
Cop says show me your licence.
Guy turns to get his licence.
Cop shoots guy.

Reminds me of the shooting of Daniel Shaver.
He appeared to be transferring the pistol from his right hand to his left, not dropping it from his right hand.
And they wonder why nobody likes them.
He didn't have it to begin with. How could he drop something he wasn't holding? We need a better angle to see if he was indeed transferring from one hand to the other.
[Reminds me of the shooting of Daniel Shaver.]
My take is that the cop made an honest mistake that will haunt him for the rest of his life, not just as a matter of conscience, but career-wise. But there was no criminal culpability.
Dunno. Crouching and transferring gun from one hand to the other doesnt seem like a wise decision with a cop pointing gun at you
The cop who shot Daniel Shaver is a sick, sick SOB. He shot Shaver with a rifle. And on the side of his rifle case the cop had written “Youre f*cked.” Not exactly the same as “To Protect and Serve.”
That’s something about the Shaver case that I never forgot. Plus the fact that Shaver was crying and pleading for his life the whole time.
‘we need a better angle...’ I’m sorry, the only angle that matters is from the cop’s perspective.
Honestly, I don’t see anything there that deserves use of deadly force. That being said, officers additionally made poor choices in having a suspect reach for a firearm in a very uncontrolled place with far too many innocents around.
Were I on the jury, I’d vote for conviction. Unusual that a video which pretty much doesn’t help officers is released.
Murder porn. How many levels of bad judgment does this represent?
Bad shoot, plain and simple.
Wasn’t it the dust cover? Or maybe the exposed part of the bolt?
Wasn’t the guy acquitted of murder?
