We know Obama spied on Journalists, Congress, and Trump. This article makes a good case that the ‘Insurance’ mentioned in a text was the cover up plan for all this spying. Since Obama was this ruthless to do such spying, it's not much of a stretch to assume he was spying on Judges as well. Blackmail obtained from this spying plausibly explains Judge Roberts bizarre decisions.

Here is the text from Aug 15, 2016:

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office – that there’s no way he gets elected – but I’m afraid we can’t take the risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok texted Page."

I interpret the text message as wanting to do something before the election. They still had ~3 months to go before the election. On Sep 2, 2016, Page texts Strzok "POTUS wants to know everything".
