At a town hall hosted by CNN, Ms. Harris said that, if elected, she would sign an executive order mandating background checks for customers of any firearms dealer who sells more than five guns a year.

What the heck does this mean? Anyone who could be described as a "firearms dealer" must be an FFL, and FFLs are already required to do background checks when transferring firearms to non-FFLs (unless they are exempt because they have a permit for which they have already undergone a background check).

Does she mean anyone who sells more than 5 guns in a year will be deemed to be "in the business" of selling firearms and will have to get an FFL?

The Democrats have sure come a long ways from 1962 when Thomas J. Dodd and Emanuel Cellar “ONLY wanted to register handguns. Long guns will not be affected!”

Then they wanted to register all guns.
Then they only wanted to ban “Saturday night specials”.
Then they only wanted to ban ALL handguns.
Then they wanted to ban high-capacity handguns.
Revolvers suddenly weren’t so bad anymore.
Then they wanted to ban rifles that look like military rifles.
Then they wanted to ban .50 cal rifles.

And I haven’t even touched the small demands such as the ones to ban scopes on hunting rifles, or 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles, or bans on bayonets. When, since 1900, was the last time someone was murdered with a fixed bayonet?

They just want to ban something then work on that to ban all firearms which has always been their goal.

Worst case - look at what Trump is doing to reshape the federal judiciary. Block EO by injunction ( we know how that game is played), then Scotia will declare it unconstitutional.
