Left-wing Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo got political in his Easter Sunday greeting, urging his fans to recall how Jesus Christ was an illegal immigrant a flawed talking point frequently deployed to harpoon the moral argument for stricter immigration policies.
Happy Easter! Never forget
Jesus was an illegal immigrant, Ruffalo tweeted to his nearly 5 million Twitter followers with a link from the Guardian about Jesus entitled, The politics of Easter is powerful. Lets not forget it.

He was good in “You Can Count On Me”.
Clearly he never has read the Bible.
The Hulk is a douche bag.
I know we will never forget that you are an idiot.
So Jesus crossed the border illegally to go into a different country?
I thought he was a citizen born when his mom and dad went home for the Census?
But not the kind that stabs you, steals, or drives drunk.
I loved Mark Ruffalo until he came out with his really nutty political opinions. I also loved Geoffrey Thorn until he decided to viciously attack Candace. But they are both on my ‘no watch’ list now.
Which Bib;e did he read that says that, and where?
I like how he smiled when he told his ex-brother-in-law that he was still an asshole. Right in front of the guy’s kid. (Ruffalo was the kids uncle.) The right way to treat an absentee father. Kid learned a lot even though uncle Ruffalo was a troubled fella who ended up doing the right thing spending time with him.
Never forget, some actors are ignorant tools.....
Joseph, Mary, and the newborn were in town TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CENSUS/TAXES as part of being CITIZENS.
HULK DERP!
KYPD
Hmm maybe he’s referring to the flight into what’s now Ethiopia?
I am proud that I have not paid to see a movie in 20 years. Another “celeb” of whom I have no knowledge other than their beliefs posted on FR.
First. We find out Capt America “isn’t afraid of losing his fans”.. which means he’ll die off in the next movie, now we know that hulk is a goner too.
Actors are so stupid. Ben Hecht once wrote a novel called I Hate Actors.
Jesus was born in the Roman Empire. I don’t think he or his mother or her husband ever left it.
That didn't make it into his discourse.
“I thought he was a citizen born when his mom and dad went home for the Census?”
Don’t spoil the story.
Pretty sure that Mark Ruffalo has never cracked open a Bible except to hide something in one that he has hollowed out.
He was most definitely NOT an illegal immigrant.
Stupid comparison. Borders and immigration laws as we know them did not even exist in Jesus’s day. Besides, considering his birth place was under Roman rule he could travel anywhere in the Empire he wanted without breaking any immigration laws.
