It isn’t that I do or don’t think there is or isn’t infighting in the NRA.

It is that I won’t give AP even the clicks. It would be the same if it were from the NYT or Washington Post.

That’s all.

New York magazine also ran a story on this.

A manufactured story in response to the SPLC real news.

I'm still an NRA member, but I know there are a lot of people really P.O.ed at the NRA for their Bump Stock Ban stance.

The Second Amendment Foundation and the Gun Owners of America do most of the heavy lifting in court, with the NRA jumping in only when the issue looks promising.

The Board of Directors have been toothless for decades, and it's Wayne LaPierre, the "vice" president, that really controls the organization, along with Chris Cox.

All that being said, I'll still keep my NRA membership, along with my MCRGO (Michigan gun group) membership.

I'm just-a FUDDing along...

You can’t expect gynocentric socialist media to either know that, or report that.

This type of corruption is WHY I am no longer a member of the NRA. They unfortunately have all the corruption that you would find with any lobbying organization in DC. Corrupt, wasteful, etc.

Dana Loesch is the one bright spot.

No. The NRA must make any gun control politician fear for their political life.

I know the NRA has to pick its fights due to limited resources. I wish all gun owners would join to make it all powerful.

The NRA is a quasi-political group to protect gun rights, what’s the issue

The nra uses money to lobby. That money didn’t go to lawmakers who already favor or rights, it goes to lawmakers who do not. Whether they are on the fence or need some grease in their wheels to not pursue their demented treachery.

I am a life member, first membership in mid-70s. Too much marketing, not enough doing. Shocked that they brought in Oliver North and paying something like a million dollars to do nothing. They really do need to clean house.

The NRA has a long history of betraying gun owners but overall they are a good organization.

I can remember when you had to be approved by your local sheriff or police chief before you could be a member. Can you believe that?

The gun control act of 1968 was opposed by the NRA while behind the scenes, I have heard that they assured the lawmakers that they would not hold them accountable. The gun manufacturers were the ones who really stabbed us in the back. We still suffer from that abomination tho it has been reformed a little bit.

When I was in college in the mid 60s I rode my bike to the K-Mart in Pensacola and bought a revolver. carried it back to my room in the bike basket. Try doing that today. Try even finding a discount store which sells handguns.

I remember when they reformed and Harlon Carter was the leader. Maybe they need reforming again.

The Knox article lays out the issues the nra is facing which the AP alludes to. At first I assumed the AP was exaggerating to make the nra look bad but if you believe the knox article there appears a lot to be concerned about in the nra, especially their recent claims of financial hardship.

I don’t doubt it, I have been an NRA member for many years and have four more years on a multi-year.

I don’t like some of the things I have seen coming out of the NRA, and don’t care for their barrage of requests for more money. I find it annoying, but I have attributed that stream of mail as money getting tight.

I am a G.O.A.L. member as well, and consider them more tied directly to my needs...they are very good.
